FAITH STATEMENT
What do we Believe?
....... continuing what Jesus began..(Acts 1:1)
We believe in one God almighty, who eternally exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:26, Mathew 28:19
We believe that whatever the Bible says is correct and therefore believe in the inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments. We accept the Bible as the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe that everything including man was created by the direct will and act of God. Genesis 1:1, Acts 17:24-28
We believe Adam and Eve (first man and woman), in yielding to satan, became fallen creatures. Psalms 51:5, Romans 3:23
We believe all men are born sinful. Romans 5:8
We believe in the incarnation, the virgin birth and deity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We stand on the truth that Jesus Christ was God, man and without sin. Thus, He became the perfect sacrifice for the human race. Hebrew 2:14-18, Philippians 2:6-8
We believe in His vicarious and substitutional atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the Cross. Colossians 1:13-14
We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of His body from the tomb. Mathew 27:50, 28:6-7
We believe in the second physical coming of Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory. Therefore, we call on all Christians to live in eager expectation of the Saviour’s return. Philippians 3:20, Thessalonians 4:16-17
We believe in the necessity of the new birth, believing that this new birth is through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit. Romans 3:22
We believe in the endowment of the Holy Spirit and the necessity of His work in the conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification. John 14:16-18. Therefore, we believe in the manifestation of tongues and various other gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the atoning Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8
We believe in the universal priesthood of all believers and the spiritual unity of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:3-6
We believe in the baptism of believers by full immersion in water and in the commemoration of Christ’s death by the observance of the Lord’s supper until His return. Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 11:24-25
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgement of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the believer, the eternal conscious punishment to the wicked. For the born again believer, this picture is glorious. Revelation 21:1-7. For the Christ rejecter, this picture is terrifying. Revelation 20: 11-15, 21:8
